The supermarket brought out loyalty cards years ago to encourage their customers to keep shopping with them as they would get money back if they used them when shopping along with other promotional vouchers. But more recently we have seen the supermarkets offering their customers 5 pence, 10 pence and even 15 pence off a litre of petrol or diesel if bought from their service station with their till receipt voucher.  This has encouraged shoppers and motorists to do their weekly shopping at the supermarket so that they can fill up their cars with cheap petrol.

Morrison Supermarket Launches The UK’s Cheap Petrol Fuel Saver Scheme

Morrisons has just launched their innovative Fuel Saver Gift Card which is the first of its kind in the UK.  Their new fuel saver scheme will help shoppers to buy cheap petrol and diesel from their services stations. It is expected that customers will buy a Morrisons gift cards while doing their shopping. Their Customers will use then use their gift card to pay for purchases from 34 of our nations favorite high street shops like, Next, Boots and Homebase to name but a few.

How much Can You Save Using Morrisons Fuel Saver Gift Card

If you choose to shop on the high street using a Morisons Fuel Saver Gift Card then you can expect a saving of approximately 6% off when filling your car with 60 litres of petrol. Shoppers will be able to use their fuel saver gift cards like cash when shopping on the high street. The Fuel Saver Gift Card will be a great way for shoppers to buy cheap petrol and diesel in the future.

During our research Morrisons provided us with the following example of how much their fuel saver gift card would save a customer shopping for a new £500 oven from Homebase. A purchase of this amount would lead to a 50 pence a-litre off on your next tank of petrol or a typical 60 litre fill-up would result in a saving of £30 or 6% of the purchase price of the item purchased.
