Basil & Amanda Rankine challenged their credit card providers in court and they had six credit cards wiped out, totaling £37,000. As seen on Staffordshire BBC TV

    Interesting, I became aware of the Rankines case a while ago, they won their first case but stupidly went on to run up more debt and try it again. I suppose it was inevitable that the court would see through it and subsequently they lost their second case. I think they also struggled by doing the whole claim themselves when there are a few very reputable companies who will conduct the claim on their behalf, the key thing being the use of legal experts and specific procedures for the claim process. It’s an interesting concept though and one which I am sure we will hear more about over the coming months.
