As a Car Insurance Expert I suggest to shop online and compare. Many people stick with their current companies because they would rather not deal with the hassle of shopping around. However, you could easily save hundreds of dollars a year just by switching to a policy with a new insurance company. It is important to consider the bottom line when comparing car insurance rates. One company may be willing to provide you with a super low rate, but the deductible amount, should something happen, may be thousands of dollars. Something like this would make the company who has a low deductible but costs $10 more per month more attractive.

These are some really great tips! Even though I live in the United States these look like some great ideas that could help many of us Americans save a little here and there. I would love it if we had options for electric and gas companies, but I don’t think other options exist in America…? Well, anyway, great list, and thanks so much for taking the time to share it.

You mentioned ‘considering online shopping’ and the comparison sites, but don’t forget the voucher sites as well. There are loads of crap ones, but there’s a few, like VoucherCodes.co.uk and FabulousSavings.co.uk that won’t waste your time and can actually save money.

Great blog, by the way! Orange is the new black!
